On Monday evening, Chester made their eighth signing of the summer so far.
Blues boss Phil Parkinson sealed a deal for highly-rated central defender Jack Kenny from Avro, with the 21-year-old penning an initial one-year deal at the Deva Community Stadium, arriving on the back of a fine campaign for the Oldham-based team, captaining them to promotion from the NPL Division One West for the first time in their history.
His signing added to the acquisitions of Luke Hewitson, George Burroughs, Sam Reed, Jacob Hazel, Dominic McHale, Kofi Moore and Jefferson Abreu, and with more to arrive, it’s one of the most intriguing summers of transfer business for the Blues for some time as the club steps into a new era.
This week we break down the addition of Kenny, the thesis when it comes to the summer business, where Isaac Burgess is at, and what’s happening with Lewis Leigh, as well as much more.
