Calum McIntyre has added FC Halifax Town striker Emmerson to his squad
Chester have signed “a proper number nine” after the club moved to secure the services of striker Zak Emmerson on loan from National League side FC Halifax Town.
Emmerson, 21, has joined the Blues from the Shaymen on a deal until the end of the season, with Chester manager Calum McIntyre having spoken of his desire to add to the attacking options at his disposal given the struggles in front of goal that have dogged his side this season.
McIntyre, who earlier in the week told The Seal that he was seeking to add two strikers before the end of the month, has completed the first of those deals for Emmerson, who signs in time to face Scarborough Athletic at Bridlington tomorrow afternoon.
