What happens next in the transfer market for Chester as Wolves recall Hayden Carson
Premier League side have exercised option to recall Carson and Lewys Benjamin
Chester will look to bring in another centre back option in the coming days after Wolverhampton Wanderers opted to recall Hayden Carson.
Carson, 19, son of former England international Scott Carson, had been on a loan deal until the end of the season with the Blues, with Wolves having the option to recall him. The Premier League strugglers have exercised that option on the defender, currently out for up to six weeks with a calf injury, as well as formally recalling goalkeeper Lewys Benjamin, who featured in the opening game of the season before suffering an injury.
While Wolves’ decision around recalling Carson hasn’t been communicated, the player is out of contract at the end of the season and the Molineux side are understood to be assessing other options for him.
