Pat Jones transfer update as two clubs battle for Chester winger's signature
Blues have now accepted two bids for the 22-year-old Welsh winger
Pat Jones could be heading for the Chester exit door this week after the Blues received bids from two National League clubs.
Jones, 22, was omitted from the Chester side that won 2-1 at home to Darlington at the weekend in Connell Rawlinson’s first game as interim boss, the reason being that the former Huddersfield Town and Exeter City winger was the subject of interest from National League side Hartlepool United.
Pools had made two bids prior to the weekend after initialising contact on Thursday, with the decision taken to not include Jones by Chester management in case of both a potential departure, and to protect him from the risk of injury that might scupper a move.
