Jack Kenny has departed Chester on a permanent deal, returning to the club who the Blues signed him from in the summer.
The 21-year-old arrived at the Deva Community Stadium in mid June after Phil Parkinson had been alerted to his potential after he played a key role for Avro in the heart of defence as they earned promotion to the seventh tier of English football for the first time in their history.
It is Avro where Kenny is returning on a permanent basis, with the side set to face the Blues in the second round proper of the FA Trophy at the Vestacare Stadium on November 14.
That game will be the first competitive action that Chester fans would have seen Kenny in since the summer, with the centre back having been unable to break into the first team and dislodge Jake Griffin and George Burroughs at centre back, spending two spells out on loan already this season at Hyde United and, more recently, Stalybridge Celtic.
His departure does leave Chester lighter in central defensive cover, although Sam Foley can deputise in that position, while Isaac Burgess has grown in stature and impressed Parkinson, and Ben Lomax is edging closer to a return.

Although his age certainly fit Parkinson's preferred profile his stature didn't, seems small for a centre back. Bet he is a tough bugger though. He will probably feel a bit peeved and maybe a little embarrassed. I bet he gives it a right go when he plays against us.
