Connell Rawlinson lays out stance on potential new Chester signings
Blues interim manager has enjoyed a fine start to his spell as caretaker boss
Connell Rawlinson’s made it three matches unbeaten at the weekend as Chester returned from Worcestershire with a point after a 1-1 draw with Kidderminster Harriers.
Fin Shrimpton’s hot streak in front of goal continued as he made it a staggering eight goals in nine games from midfield, slotting past Christian Dibble in the Harriers goal from just outside the area with 15 minutes remaining at Aggborough on Saturday.
The point means a return of seven points from nine for interim manager Rawlinson, and what had seemed like a campaign that would fizzle out into abject mediocrity now has received a shot in the arm and Chester are well in with a shout in the play-off race, particularly given that they are one of the National League North’s form teams at present.
The Seal caught up with Rawlinson after Saturday’s draw to get his take on whether or not further additions could be on their way to aid the Blues effort down the home straight.
Since we launched The Seal in December 2025 the feedback we have received has been fantastic, and it enabled us to bring independent journalism back to Chester Football Club after it disappeared despite being a fixture of the club for more than 130 years.
