Chester are set to formally advertise next week for the position of first-team manager for next season, but have already got the ball rolling in other respects.

Current boss Calum McIntyre will leave the Blues when his deal comes to an end following the current campaign, one which has thus far been one of disappointment and immense frustration. It was a decision that was communicated to fans on Saturday morning, ahead of the 3-1 loss to Radcliffe.

Pressure had already been piling up on McIntyre, with the losses at Peterborough Sports and Marine adding to a woeful run of form. The loss to Radcliffe was defeat number seven out of the last 10 games for Chester.
