Chester make transfer decision on Offrande Zanzala, plus Festus Arthur update
Congolese striker has been on the fringes of the squad in recent weeks
Chester FC have transfer listed striker Offrande Zanzala.
The 29-year-old frontman joined the Blues in the summer following his exit from National League South side Torquay United, but has struggled to nail down a regular spot in Calum McIntyre’s side in recent months.
Zanzala, who has netted three goals in 16 outings in the National League North for Chester, hasn’t started a league game since the 2-2 draw at Southport on November 11, and it has been Dylan Mottley-Henry’s return to the fold that has seen him become a partner for Tom Peers in the Blues attack.
With Chester continually mindful of their wage structure and ensuring they maximise what they do with the playing budget, Zanzala’s position as a senior player in an attacking area, with limited game time, has prompted the decision to circulate the former Derby County and Crewe Alexandra man to other clubs, something that occurred last week. The Blues will consider both permanent and temporary exits via loan for the Congolese.
