The frustration is that it has taken 1/2 a season to replace goalkeeper who was out of his depth. Also to not replace unwanted players but keep players who past their sell buy date. Management out of their depth at this level sadly. 🙃

Is this really in the best interests of Chester FC personally I dont think so . We have gone from 3 points off the playoffs to 6 points with a lot less games . It's going to take a miracle of biblical proportions to resurrect this season . One last chance Saturday win and win well otherwise the increasingly restless fanbase will turn even more toxic. We definitely need at least one of the two reported forward signings in the building for Saturday otherwise I loose all hope .

Listening to the game last night the most annoying thing for me was the sending off of Kevin Roberts , one of Calum’s senior and more dependable players , he certainly didn’t help the cause and took the “fight” too literally, presumably he will be out for three games now too ? 🤔

What does this mean?

“During this season, we’ve had to face more adversity than in the previous three under Calum, but that’s part and parcel of football, so please don’t mistake this for an excuse. There are factors that have contributed to the position we find ourselves in, however we have to handle those moments better".

What are these factors that have contributed to the position we're in? We've had no financial issues as far as I am aware, no outside issues or fines from the FA for fan behaviour? Record season ticket sales and build the budget fundraiser.. what's Jim referring to here?

The explanation on this can’t be red cards. Bainbridge getting himself sent off is not worthy of mention in the context of a whole season. Nor is the injury to Benjamin, even if it was disruptive at the time.

I’m not sure this is the answer, but one thing that perhaps cut deep to the squad that no one is mentioning - the dressing room incident after full time at Worksop away? Has the bond between manager / players and the supporters never been the same since 🤷‍♂️

Fascinated to see if you are told / allowed to print a follow up explanation on this Dave.

As you say Dave we are 6pts off 7th place but our poor Goal Difference makes that 7 pts need if we don’t start scoring goals.

When our Snr Players just back from Injury gets a stupid sending off, that’s not a good sign for moving forward.

Time and games running out to keep saying “ these a must win 2 games” then we lose them.

Getting to a point any new Forward will arrive with massive expectations, that’s not good at all, hopefully it won’t bother him as being “ an experienced Forward”.

🤞🤞we can get a win on Saturday against a team also having it own issues at present.

Sounds to me that if we don’t win

on Saturday, that might be that.

Is this the dreaded vote of confidence or a board that are struggling to make the right decision, I’m not sure personally. However Cal is struggling, you can see that and needs to pull back from the front line, however that is not his style. He will believe he can still achieve the playoffs but not without additions to the squad. Irrespective of what happens this season then a new man in charge has to be the board’s position for next season, Cal has had too much criticism from fans over the past 15 months.

He's not doing himself many favours lately. No acknowledgement of supporters last night as he walked out for either half. That for me is a minimum requirement no matter what.
