Chester boss Calum McIntyre is chasing a trio of new additions, and remains hopeful that two deals could be over the line prior to this weekend.

The 1-0 loss at home to Worksop Town at the weekend saw the Blues waste a glut of chances in front of goal, and with a lack of a clinical finisher in the final third a problem for much of the campaign, attention has turned to addressing the problem this month.

There is no transfer window in the National League North, but the existence of the January window does have a potential knock-on effect for the Blues, with movement among some EFL clubs potentially opening up the opportunity to take talent that has been deemed surplus to requirements.
