You've got to say Parkinson ticks all the boxes lives local ,good record at both Nantwich and Altrincham knows this level of football well good eye for a player. The other names mentioned have managed at good level but would living out the area be a hindrance.

Hopefully whoever they appoint its done as quickly as possible as the fanbase is badly fractured and the constant arguments on all platforms is no good . It might also help to keep attendance levels up and stop the apathy setting in

Steve Davis isn’t far off the same calibre as Parkinson - extensive EFL experience too.

Indeed but what's his knowledge of NLN and below. A good name with a great coaching background but id go with Parkinson as he edges it with a promotion out of this division.

Well he made his name at Nantwich to be fair, before moving straight to Crewe

Somewhat of an overreaction.

Let’s see who gets the most likes then. The majority want a change now to ensure the crowd doesn’t dwindle away

Isn’t there a danger here of this being an odd application process if the steer is that the Board has sought someone out and then leaked that discussions have gone well. Anyone else wasting their time / simply playing second fiddle / publicly spelt out as back up options?

That said, whoever gets the job will be rolled out as ‘always our first choice from the off’!

Would be concerned about Cooper, the other names linked seem like good options
